Scored for piano accompaniment with an obligato violin part to be played off stage. There is also solo singing for 3 characters. A chorus of wedding guests reappear as contemporary teenagers in scene 4. A 2nd chorus of Brownies is played by younger children, some of whom have speaking parts. |

This is a musical play based on a traditional folk story about a fiddler who is abducted by fairies for 50 years into their fairy hillock, and then returns to the present day thinking he's been asleep for 5 minutes!.
